Thursdays with Friends - Abraham: Out of One, Many with Rev. Greg Han

May 6 | 11 a.m. | Zoom
Organized by an international peacebuilding NGO/non-profit called Caravan (www.oncaravan.org), Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM) is hosting a virtual exhibition of “Abraham: Out of One, Many.” This exhibit brings together the works of three celebrated Middle Eastern contemporary visual artists who have each created five paintings that interpret Abraham’s life and journey for us today. These 15 pieces of art, with each trio of paintings exploring a different theme from a figure central in at least three of the world’s religions, is an experience in engaging different faiths and cultures that also adhere to similar values and principles. The art itself is both beautiful and thought-provoking. IM has worked with Caravan to create a virtual gallery; it feels like you are “walking” through a gallery, able to move from painting to painting, and no one gets stuck in the back of the crowd! Register by 10 a.m. on the day of the program. Zoom information will be sent out on the morning of the program.
