Tapestry Players presents Gilbert & Sullivan's "H.M.S. Pinafore"

It's been 6 years since we first brought Gilbert & Sullivan to life in our theater with our 2013 production ofThe Pirates of Penzance! This summer we present the comic operetta that rocketed the duo to international fame. Set on board a Royal Navy ship anchored off Portsmouth in Victorian England, the story lampoons class distinctions, unqualified people assuming important leadership positions, the dubious practice of "baby farming," and the opera world.

Directed by Randy Murrow, with musical direction by Sid Davis and choreography by Tina Throckmorton, our production stars Grace Roman as Josephine, Jake Woodson as Ralph Rackstraw, Jim Waters as Captain Corcoran, Paul Woldy as Sir Joseph Porter, Lesley Sisk as Buttercup, Joshua Wilson as Dick Deadeye, Hayden Messamore as the Boatswain, and Lydia Jackson as Cousin Hebe.
