August 30 – The Day the World Came to Town by Jim DeFede
When 38 jetliners bound for the United States were forced to land at Gander International Airport in Canada by the closing of U.S. airspace on September 11, the population of this small town on Newfoundland Island swelled from 10,300 to nearly 17,000. The citizens of Gander met the stranded passengers with an overwhelming display of friendship and goodwill. This book recounts the inspiring story of the residents of Gander, Canada, whose acts of kindness have touched the lives of thousands of people and been an example of humanity and goodwill.

October 25 – Small Great Things: A Novel by Jodi Picoult

November 29 – Awe: Why It Matters for Everything We Think, Say, and Do by Paul David Tripp
Prepare your hearts for the upcoming Advent season and be in AWE.
Humans are hardwired for awe. Whether it's the Grand Canyon, a beautiful work of art, or the birth of a baby, we love to be amazed. But there's something - or someone, rather - who surpasses all others: God himself. Helping us kindle an ever-growing passion for God's glory, this book by popular author Paul David Tripp reminds us of the importance of awe for shaping everything we choose, decide, think, desire, say, and do. Reflecting on how awe for God impacts our approach to spiritual warfare, ministry, material things, and more, Tripp will energize your love for God by opening your eyes afresh to the glory of his love, grace, and power.
