A Bible Journaling Workshop: Lectio Divina+Art

Saturday, October 15 ǀ 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Join us for a bible journaling workshop that brings together God’s Word and art. Participants will be introduced to the process of Lectio Divina, a Latin term that literally means "divine reading." Lectio Divina begins with selecting a passage of the Bible and reading it over and over, very slowly, reflecting on each word and phrase while paying attention to the impact the words have on our hearts.This workshop will encourage you to take your reflections and respond to Scripture with mixed media art. All participants will receive a Genesis bible journal and a creative kit to use with their bible journaling. The workshop will showcase several mixed media lessons. All supplies will be provided and no prior art experience is required.
