This Tastes Like a Memory

This All Saints Sunday will offer our congregation more than one way to celebrate those who have gone before. Our friend, minister, musician, chef poet and author, Milton Brasher Cunningham, will be with us as we celebrate the great cloud of witnesses and those who have gone on before. That evening at 6:00, Music and Fine Arts is hosting “This Tastes Like a Memory,” an occasion that invites our congregation to share with each other cookies baked from recipes passed down from people whom we’ve lost. Mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters or friends; anyone who has loved and baked their way into our hearts. Milton, the founder of “Milton’s Famous Cookies,” is actually creating a signature cookie for this event, which will also be shared. We are registering bakers, and limiting that number to 30, so act quickly and reserve a spot for those famous baked treats that have meant so much to you over the years.

Then at 7:30, the Chancel Choir will present “Requiem” by our Organist Emeritus, Rob Landes in the Sanctuary.
