Ladies Book Club - Summer 2021

Read a book. Join us for a Spirit-filled discussion. Tell your stories.  Make new friends. Join us for our Ladies’ Book Club! We will meet via Zoom the last Tuesday of each month from 1 – 3 p.m. A Zoom invitation will be sent to you prior to the meeting. Led by Louise McEvoy.

June 29 – Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
An examination of the sometimes painful, often tender, and always deep connection between mothers and daughters. As each woman reveals her secrets, trying to unravel the truth about her life, the strings become more tangled, more entwined.

July 27 – The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate
The discovery of eighty-one carefully decorated prayer boxes will change Tandi's life forever. Hidden in the boxes is the story of a lifetime, written on random bits of paper--the hopes and wishes, fears and thoughts of an unassuming but complex woman passing through the seasons of an extraordinary, unsung life filled with journeys of faith, observations on love, and one final lesson that could change everything for Tandi.

August 31 – The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
A World War II story of three female code breakers at Bletchley Park, where the best minds in Britain train to break German military codes. Eventually, war, loss, and the impossible pressure of secrecy tear the three apart, until... they are reunited several years later by a mysterious encrypted letter.
